Karthi's Biriyani has opened up to mixed reviews. The Tamil flick has impressed youth in large numbers and also rocked at the Box Office on day one. Biriyani was grandly welcomed by Karthi's fans along with the loyal followers of Venkat Prabhu. The movie had an above 70% occupancy on the release day. In single screens, the occupancy was less, but the multiplexes witnessed a good viewership across the city.
Traders say that collections are impressive considering the good occupancy on the release day. The exact figure of the business is yet to be out. Even in the international circuit, the response for Biriyani was good. However, traders are keen to know how Biriyani will perform in the coming days. As it has got mixed reviews, we have to wait for some more time to know whether the Tamil film could stay strong at the Box Office.
The film is also being affected by Jeeva and Trisha Krishnan's Endrendrum Punnagai and Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3, which have got positive reviews in large. Biriyani is a romantic-comedy movie starring Karthi, Hansika Motwani and Premji Amaren in the lead roles. Two best friends Sugan (Karthi) and Parasuram (Premgi) land in trouble when they venture out in the middle of the night for a plate of Biriyani.
