After sitting in Delhi from a long time in the name of expressing the concerns of Seemandhra people to high command, Union Minister Chiranjeevi is facing huge criticism from the region. However, he made a point the other day making all Seemandhra people and even party high command think about it.
'If at all the state gets divided, then what is the position of Seemandhra people in Hyderabad? Should we live like secondary grade citizens here?' asked Chiru, while expressing his concerns with Antony Committee. Reports have that Defense minister AK Antony is shocked by this question, and though he and his colleague Digvijay stressed that there is no going back on bifurcation, they are now thinking how to solve Chiru's question.
Also Megastar highlighted that Telugu people who are living in Madras after separation of Andhra state are living in a poor situation, in terms of social status. Though these people are treated as people of Tamilnadu, they are always called as Telugu settlers. Chiru feels that even Seemandhra people will be treated as Andhra settlers by Telangana state, as the leaders of this region always say that Andhra people looted them of wealth and resources.
Though some Telangana leaders say that Gujaratis, Oriyas, Punjabis and Marwadi communities live in Hyderabad with harmony, the thing is that all these days Telugu people from three regions enjoyed local status, and how could people of two regions will become non-locals now? Well, Chiru raised a compelling point after long time.
