Dasari Narayana Rao, Tollywood’s harshest critic is at it again. The veteran director of 150 films was the chief guest at the audio launch of Srikanth’s Mondodu where he took a dig at some big ticket films. “With big ticket films making a habit of changing their release dates, it is difficult for producers of small-budget films to get space to release their films.
They (small-budget producers) are clueless about how to plan their film’s release. It is a sad state of affairs. I never thought such a situation would arise in my lifetime!” he rued. Release of big films like Pawan Kalyan’s Attarintiki Daaredi, Ram Charan’s Yevadu have been deferred due to the prevailing political situation in the state. Speculation is rife that Dasari’s barbs were directed at his “arch rival” yet again!
