Despite scoring many memorable hits in the past decade, Jr NTR hasn't succeeded in crossing Rs 40 crore barrier until his last release 'Baadshah' which went on to become one of the Top 10 highest grossers of Telugu Film Industry.
When asked about the same, Srinu Vytla admits people have few doubts on Jr NTR's revenue generating potential and claims it was his home work for 'Baadshah' that helped him shatter all of them. He feels the way he designed the character of Tarak as a lover boy, don and a wedding planner has been appreciated by the audience and it reflected in the collections as well.
Really, 'Baadshah' expanded the market of NTR at least by few crores and the brand value of Vytla helped the film to make a moolah at the Overseas Box Office.
On the other hand, Mahesh Babu (Dookudu, Businessman, SVSC) and Ram Charan (Magadheera, Racha, Nayak) have three films each in the Rs 40 crore club. Pawan Kalyan have two films (Gabbar Singh, Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu) which collected over Rs 40 crore. Allu Arjun (Julayi) and Prabhas (Mirchi) have one film each in this elite club.
