'Mirchi' is going to be remade in Kannada with Sudeep (Eega fame) playing the role of main protoganist and actor Ravichandran will be reprising the role of Sathyaraj (Prabhas father) in the remake. There is huge competition for the movie in other South Indian languages as well. It is known that Bollywood hero John Abraham has acquired the rights of 'Mirchi' to remake it in Hindi.
The production house UV Creations which was owned by Prabhas close buddies Vamsi and Pramod is minting money, first with the commercial success of their maiden project and then with the remake rights in multiple languages.
