Priyanka Chopra landed in a tricky situation with 'Zanjeer' as her sister Parineeti Chopra's film 'Shuddh Desi Romance' too releasing on September 6. Even the two actresses where on the sets of reality show 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6' on the same day giving strength to the speculations of rift between siblings.
PeeCee, however, denied having any rift with cousin Parineeti Chopra because of the same release date by claiming she is her family. Apart from targeting the rumors mills for first creating a controversy and then trying to cash in on it, she hoped audience will enjoy the Chopra weekend in the first week of September.
Luckily for Priyanka and Parineeti, the genres of their films are polls apart. While 'Zanjeer' is a pucca action-based subject with all the necessary commercial ingredients, 'Shuddh Desi Romance' is a romantic story narrated in an artistic manner. As a result, there will be a clear division among the audience.
Trade reports say, 'Shuddh Desi Romance' will rule the multiplexes but its still not yet clear whether 'Zanjeer' could set the cash registers ringing at the single screens.
