Ram Charan's Zanjeer Back in Trouble

Businessman Prince Tuli (producer Amit Mehra's Partner) have issued legal notice to the makers of 'Zanjeer' asking for damages against using his motorbike in the 'Mumbai Ka Hero' song without his consent. Tuli accuses director Apoorva Lakhia had borrowed the bike as a friendly gesture and was later used in the song.

Getting into the Details: Prakash Mehra (Zanjeer original producer -1973) has three sons - Amit Mehra, Sumeet Mehra and Puneet Mehra. Prince Tuli and Amit Mehra were partners on Zanjeer along with Sumeet and Puneet. The deal didn't work out as Amit Mehra failed to pay the promised amount to his brothers for claiming ownership of the remake rights. In the end, Prince Tuli and Amit Mehra walked out of the project, which allowed Sumeet and Puneet to be partners of the 'Zanjeer' along with Reliance Entertainment. Now, Prince Tuli and Amit Mehra chalked out a plan to trouble the current producers by issuing a legal notice that might even postpone the release.

Responding to the legal notice on the silly issue, Apoorva Lakhia commented it's hilarious and joked he might even get a legal notice for eating sandwiches made by Amit Mehra's wife when he was a producer. Apart from clarifying that Amit Mehra was the producer of the film when the song 'Mumbai Ka Hero' was shot, the filmmaker advices Tuli and Amit to come up with something innovative to stall the release.
