The audio launch for Ram Charan-starrer 'Toofan' was a grand affair at Shilpa Kala Vedika on Tuesday. The film is the Telugu version of 'Zanjeer', which is a remake of the 1973 hit Hindi film starring Amitabh Bachchan.

Director Apoorva Lakhia and his team of producers were present at the launch, along with the film’s cast and crew.

As film fraternity members Venkatesh, Allu Arvind, V.V. Vinayak, Vamsi, Dil Raju and others entered the venue, the crowd displayed their excitement. Crazed fans were tripping over each other to catch a glimpse of Charan.

The entertainment for the evening was kicked off with a performance by Jaspreet Singh, who belted out the song 'Mumbai Ke Hero' from the film. Mahie Gill glittered in gold as she danced to her song from the film, Vechchanaina. After performances by local and foreign talent, leading man Ram Charan entered waving at his fans, who were trying to jump over the barricades to get closer to their favourite star. Ram Charan took to the stage and thanked Apoorva for giving him his Bollywood debut. The director said, “The eight-month long wait for Charan’s answer was surely worth it.”

Ram also expressed his gratitude to Venkatesh for making it to the event. “With just one phone call, Venkatesh anna left his shooting at Ramoji Film City and made sure he was here for the launch. It means a lot,” he said.

Excited about his Bollywood debut, Srihari said, “I was planning to retire from acting after this movie, but after seeing the results of Apoorva’s hard work, I’d like to act in every project that he takes up.”

The 'Toofan' audio was released by Venkatesh, who wished Ram Charan and Apoorva Lakhia good luck for the film’s release.
