Trisha seems to have surpassed her arch rivals Anushka and Charmi by signing her third woman-oriented film in just a year. It took her peers in Tollywood between three to five years to achieve this feat. The petite star is also breaking the myth that such films have no takers among the audiences.
Trisha followed up her author-backed role in 'Rum' with an untitled film by producer Pusala Kishore. Now, controversial director Sunil Kumar Reddy, known his path-breaking movies, is preparing an exciting script to tap Trisha’s hidden potential.
On being contacted, Reddy shies away from revealing too much. “It’s too early to talk about it,” says the director, who is busy with the release of his films '9 Months' and 'Waiting for U'. He does admit that Trisha’s talent hasn’t been fully exploited yet. “Such stereotyping is unfair to an abundantly talented actress, who has already proved herself in films like 'Varsham' and 'Akasamantha'. She is a well-known brand in the South and even in the North as well,” he says, adding, “Trisha is the face of urban India so I’m working on a suitable script that will appeal to pan-Indian viewers.”
A source close to the actress reveals, “Even though she would like to do more woman-centric films, the talks are still in the nascent stage.”
