In the recent past, Tollywood filmmakers have been encouraging their wives to take part in their projects in some way or the other. Be it Rajamouli's wife Rama or Srinu Vytla's life partner Roopa, they have carved a niche for themselves with their creativity and hard work.
Explaining how it all began, Rama Rajamouli says she used to visit the sets of 'Simhadri' frequently to take care of her husband who is workaholic and doesn't bothers about anything while shooting for a film. It was during this time Rajamouli had few issues with the costumes and Rama intervened only to resolve it. Impressed with the suggestions of his wife, the filmmaker encouraged her to give it a shot and Today she is one of the leading costume designer in Tollywood even though she doesn't work for films outside her family.
For Roopa Vytla, the journey began during 'Dookudu'. Srinu Vytla isn't happy with the costumes of Samantha and asked his wife if she could deliver. Soon, she has done a photo shoot for Sam and designed costumes within one week. The director okayed them immediately and ever since then she never looked back.
Behind every successful man there is woman and also behind every successful woman there is a man too! How true this adage has been!!!
