Midhunam movie joins the Oscar race

The SP Balasubramanyam and Lakshmi starrer 'Midhunam' is being recommended by the Telugu Film Producers Council as India’s entry to the Academy Awards.

After Jagadguru Adi Shankara, Tanikella Bharani’s directorial debut Midhunam is being recommended for the Best Foreign Language Film category at the Academy Awards.


Meanwhile, the film is slated to be screened in the Indian Panorama section at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. While it failed to achieve commercial success, 'Midhunam' has opened to rave reviews and garnered critical acclaim.
