It is already known that actor Mohan Babu has written a letter seeking the postponement of '100 Years of Indian Cinema' celebrations at Chennai from 21st to 24th September. But it looks like there is no use of the letter given by him as the situation is already out of hands.
According to film industry biggies, plan to celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema was etched long back. They say that the dates were finalized six months before keeping in view of the political bigwigs attending the event. As the likes of President Pranab Muherjee and Chief Ministers of four south states are attending the event, any slight modification in the schedule will not be possible. Just before 15 days of the event, how could Mohan Babu come and seek a postponement now seems to be the question.

'Political situations in state many change or may not change, but doesn't refrain one from honouring a particular event. When there is no deadline for the political unrest in AP to come to an end, to what date we will seek the postponement?' asked a member of Film Chamber.
Also, Telugu Film Chamber president Katragadda Prasad and South Indian Film Chamber president C Kalyan confirmed that there is no question of postponing the event. So, for now, there is no use of letter written by Mohan Babu.
