Telugu Beauty Became Miss USA

For the first time ever, a Telugu-Indian descendant girl has won the title of American paegant. Miss Newyork Nina Davuluri is crowned as Miss America 2014 by former crown holder.

Nina Davuluri is the first girl of Indian heritage to win the Miss America crown, when she is named as the queen by former Miss America Mallory Hagan. The 24 year old dusky beauty hails from Newyork city, and the events that lead to her winning are quite interesting for audiencs watching the show live from Atlantic city in Newjersey. She performed classical dance at the final round to some fusion of Bollywoood songs.


Nina is said to be researching on functions of brain at a Newyork university apart from being contesting in beauty pageants. Another Hyderabad based girl Miss Washington DC Pavarthy Bindu also competed in the 2014 American pageant.
