Apoorva Lakhia's ambitious project Zanjeer, a remake of the 1973 classic has failed to impress critics and audiences.Starring Ram Charan Teja (who made his Bollywood debut) and Priyanka Chopra, the film has been compared to the original.
While there has been appreciation for Pee Cee and Ram Charan Teja, the movie has not managed to rake in huge numbers at the box office.Zanjeer released on 6th September in Hindi and Telugu (Thoofan) simultaneously. Talking about Zanjeer's performance at the box office, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the total collection of the film on micro blogging site Twitter.
