Saying that she is not playing in films any more, Nayanatara became very busy in the film industry. However, in a statement, Nayanatara had announced that she doesn’t want to do just glamour roles, but would do the characters that would bring out the real artist in her.
In this backdrop, she is now doing a film titled ‘Anamika’ in Sekhar Kammula direction.This is the remake of a successful Hindi film Kahani. She is playing the role of Vidyabalan in the Hindi version, and is now pleading not to compare that roles between Kahani and Anamika films. Sekhar Kammula has made several changes to suit the story to the Telugu nativity and the taste of Telugu audiences.
The shooting of ‘Anamika’ had reached the final stages. Nayanatara, Vaibhav, and Harshavardhan Rane are playing the lead roles. MM Keervani has scored tunes for the movie. Vijay C Kumar is the cinematographer. Endemol India, Logline Productions and Select Media Holdings are jointly producing the film. The film-makers are planning to release the film in December.
