No Telugu film in Indian Panorama at IFFI

Yet another year, and no Telugu film has been selected for the prestigious 44th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) to be held in Goa in November this year. Although over 175 films are made in Telugu every year, hardly any of the films figure in the list for festivals and awards.

One Kannada film, 'Bharath Stores', directed by Seshadri and produced by Basanth Kumar Patil and one Tamil film 'Thanga Meengal', directed and produced by Ramasubramanian, feature in the list along with Malayalam films. 'Kanyaka Talkies' is the opening film of the Indian Panorama section.

Do you think it's time Tollywood realised that there is more to cinema than dancing and fighting?
