South India's Ramayya Vasthavayya has collected much more collection than Bollywood’s RV at the box office. Junior NTR , Samantha and Shruti Hassan starer Ramayya Vasthavayya has done a business of approx 37 crores in the first weekend.
Movie has also collected approx 10 crores at the overseas box office. So the 1st weekend total box office collection of this romantic movie is approx 47 crores at the worldwide box office. Movie has now become second best movie for Telugu superstar NTR Jr. After Baadshah, this is his 2nd best first weekend collection.

NTR’s Ramayya Vasthavayya was released in 1500 screens at the worldwide box office and out of these, approx 1300 screens in south India. Movie got very good reviews from critics and first day audience. Due to these reviews, movie started to get mouth publicity in the 2nd day Saturday and 3rd day Sunday. Ramayya Vasthavayya picked its collection very well as the weekend moved ahead.
In the first weekend, Ramayya Vasthavayya performed very well in major cites like Nizam and Ceeded. Both single screens and multiplexes of thee places registered almost 100 % occupancy. Other places also got more than 90 % occupancy through out the weekend. After the success of Attarintiki Daredi, another south Indian movie has collected huge collection in very quick time.
Since there is not much competition at the box office so Ramayya Vasthavayya will have a smooth run at the box office in the coming days too. It is looking like that NTR Jr is ready to give back to back blockbuster with Baadshah and Ramayya Vasthavayya.
