Telugu film "Ramayya Vastavayya" (RV) is gearing up for a worldwide release on Friday (11 October). With just a day left for the film to hit screens, the only question that lingers in everybody's mind is whether the Jr NTR starrer will be able to surpass the collections "Attarintiki Daredi"(AD).
Pawan Kalyan's "AD", which was released on 27 September, has broken several records in southern states as well as at the US box office. The film emerged as the highest first week grosser, earning over ₹49 crore. It has also set new records in the US, earning more ₹15 crore (including reported and non-reported screens) in just 12 days.
Following the massive success of "AD", the Telugu film industry has now shifted its focus on "RV", directed by Harish Shankar. It may be recalled that Harish worked with Pawan Kalyan in his last release, "Gabbar Singh", which turned to be a blockbuster in 2012.
