Apparently, Krishna has been a strong contender to play the role of Ram Charan's grand father in the multi-starrer film with Venkatesh. However, Superstar turned down the prestigious film and this led to the inclusion of Tamil actor Raj Kiran (Pandem Kodi, Muni fame).
As per the reliable sources, Mahesh Babu is averse to the idea of his father sharing screen space with the Mega camp for the reasons best known to him. Hence, Krishna backed out of the project and even the age factor prompted him to do so.
The current trend in Tollywood is multi-starrers based on family subjects. Films like SVSC, Masala and now Venky-Cherry's film goes the same way.
Acting in a multi-starrer could have given enough mileage to Krishna and he might have bagged few more exciting projects by doing so! Surely, Superstar missed a big opportunity to make the last phase of film career a memorable experience.
