Telugu actor Allu Arjun with 2.5 Million fans on Facebook has created record surpassing many leading Bollywood heroes and becoming the first South Indian actor with as many followers.
Allu Arjun has more fans in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada film fields. Grandson of erstwhile comedian Allu Ramalingaiah and nephew of Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun is known for his versatile action and dramatics in Telugu films. He is called “Mallu Arjun” in Kerala by his fans.
He was also one of the stars who made it to Telugu film at a very young age after another grandson of NT Rama Rao, called Junior NTR.
Two months ago, his status on FaceBook was given ‘Verified’ Status with more than 1 million fans by the official Facebook Team. Within two months, the number has doubled to 2.5 million.
Known as the ‘Stylish Star’ in the south, Allu Arjun is currently in Australia shooting for the final leg of his forthcoming film ‘Race Gurram’. There is also a rumour that he is going to become a father soon.
He has won two Filmfare awards for Best Actor Award in Telugu for his films ‘Parugu’ and ‘Vedam’, two Nandi (AP Govt) Special Jury Awards for ‘Arya’ and ‘Parugu’, one CineMAA Award for debut acting film ‘Gangotri’.
He is also the brand ambassador for Joy Alukkas, Colgate, Lot Mobiles and 7Up. Trained in gymnastics, he has 13 films to his credit so far.
