While many yesteryear Tollywood stars are making a beeline to cash in on their popularity on TV, rarely has a big matinee idol done the same. But looks like actor Nagarjuna thinks otherwise. The dapper actor surprised everyone at a recent press conference when he said, "I'm open to hosting a TV show." The matinee idol who is producing two successful TV soaps presently, seems to have set his sights on "taking regional TV to the next level."
"I believe there is a lot of untapped potential in regional television. Shows like Big Boss and 24 have shown that TV can be as engaging a medium of entertainment as any. If somebody comes up with a great concept I would be only too happy to get into television.Why not? I think it's time local TV steps up a gear or two," opined Nagarjuna.
The actor has never shied away from treading the road less traveled on the silver screen and looks like he could do same on the small screen as well.
