Ram Charan's latest release Yevadu has taken the Tollywood box office by storm as the film has raked in around 26 crores (share) in worldwide since it's release. The action entertainer opened to thunderous applause in Karnataka and other areas and has been carrying good reports.
On the other hand, Mahesh Babu-starrer 1 opened to negative reviews. The film has not been doing well in B and C centers even after the makers have trimmed the content by 15 minutes. The psychological thriller received flak for its puzzled screenplay. However, the Sukumar's directorial was off to a flier in USA as it grossed more than $1 million in the first weekend itself - a new record for a Telugu cinema.
While 2013 saw both Ram Charan and Mahesh Babu's films doing well at the ticket window, this year, its Charan's Yevadu that has won the hearts of the masses. So going by the collections, Ram Charan is this year's Sankranthi hero.
