Did Shruti Hassan say NO to Mahesh Babu?

We are aware that the makers of Mahesh Babu's 'Aagadu' have initially signed Tamanna for the female lead and later held discussions with Shruti Haasan for the same role to cash in on her popularity at present. Seems like, the negotiations didn't work as per the plan and producers have again opted to cast the milky beauty.

Sources says, Shruti Haasan is one of the busiest heroines right now and her call sheets were already been full for the entire 2013. She is currently shooting for 'Race Gurram' opposite Allu Arjun, recently signed 'Welcome Back' opposite John Abraham and will also be playing leading lady in one of Akshay Kumar's future projects.

Although she is keen to share screen space with Mahesh, Shruti Haasan can't allot dates for 'Aagadu' in the year 2013 due to her prior commitments and this came as a blessing in disguise for Tamanna who is in need of the big project to bounce back.

The regular shoot of 'Aagadu' is likely to begin in October this year. Srinu Vytla is focusing on pre-production work at the moment and he wants to wrap up the entire shooting as early as possible.
