It became mandatory for any movie to showcase certain scenes during the start of the film and some of them are creating huge impact on youngsters. Youths are just whistling and clapping at the scene of a death, rather taking the spirit of that scene in right way.
If you jump to any theatre at the moment, the showreel at the beginning of the flick belongs to Union Health Ministry that is fighting against the use of tobacco. In their anti-tobacco message, a 24 year old youngster named Mukesh Harane is being shown on silver screen. While the oral cancer victim speaks from his death bed, with a food pipe passing through his throat, people are screaming and whistling in theatres. Also when it reads that doctors failed to save Mukesh, there are claps and laughs everywhere. Looks like our youths are taking this special initiative as a funny piece, but truth is that every time Mukesh's family watch their sibling on silver screen, they cry till their eyes dry.
The main intention of showing visuals of Mukesh and announcing his death due to oral cancer is that, at least few people will stop chewing tobacco. Youth should understand the right message rather laughing at it. Who knows, if you chew tobacco while laughing, someday your video will be shown and someone else will laugh.
