Akkineni Nagarjuna is one of the most outspoken person in the Film Industry. In his recent interview, he came up with an analysis on why most of the films have been unsuccessful these days, apart from finding fault with the makers who blame the audience for the failure of their films.
The actor felt lack of bound scripts and the improper planning as the reasons for the poor quality in films. "Don't blame the audience for film failures. A film fails when there are defects in the script and planning. For example, if the shooting of a song was planned Tomorrow. Music director sends the song Today. Where is the time for dance master to compose the steps? Hero and Heroine reaches the sets with the costumes they like. Finally, those outfits doesn't match the set erected in the location. Where could we get quality in that case? It will be nice if the director, music director, dance master and lyricist sit down and plan everything. We are yet to get accustomed to such method. As far as my films are concerned, I will never compromise on quality and would never go for shoot without a proper script. I will fight with the director to get desired output," he commented.
Nag said Film Industry is failing to eradicate Piracy and appealed to the government to take stringent measures to save the producers from incurring losses. "Piracy isn't just a loss for only Industry, but also the government. People were watching the films at the their homes using the pirated CDs. As a result, many of them have been losing employment and government is losing a major share of entertainment tax as well. Government could make more money than liquor sales if it could curb the piracy," he opined.
