The contrasting statements of Tamanna's father and director Sinu Vytla regarding their upcoming biggie 'Aagadu' starring Mahesh Babu have become a point of discussion in the Industry.
Santhosh Bhatia (Tammu's Dad) who takes care of all the assignments of her daughter made it clear that Tamanna has signed 'Aagudu' and they even got a confirmation call from the producers (14 Reels Entertainment) on Monday in this regard. However, Film's Director Srinu Vytla clarifies the leading lady of the film is yet to be finalised. Why this confusion?
Actually, Tamanna was roped for 'Aagadu' long back but the recent success of Shruti Haasan has prompted the makers to consider this multi-faceted actress to play the female lead. As a result, Tamanna was kept on hold and producers were already into negotiations with Shruti.
Tamanna and Shruti Haasan are the only two top heroines down South who are yet to share the screen space with Mahesh Babu. Based on the freshness factor, Srinu Vytla is considering these two glam dolls. Producers were now playing a safe game by signing Tamanna and then going in search of Shruti Haasan, keeping the scarcity of A-list actresses down South in mind. If the deal works out, Shruti will be romancing Mahesh else Tammu would be grabbing the opportunity.
