Even though there are no signals from Centre about making Hyderabad into a union territory, national media reported that the idea is possibly under consideration by home department. Strongly condemning the idea, Congress MP Madhu Yashki says that UT will fetch use to none.
'Delhi and Chandigarh are Union Territories from a long time and we all know that there is much development there. Areas surrounding UT have developed but not these UTs in particular', said Madhu Yashki, Nizambad MP and a staunch advocate of Telangana cause.
'Demanding for UT is like throwing acid on a girl as she hasn't accepted one's love proposal' said Madhu Yashki. He feels that Andhra MPs are making this demand only to distance Hyderabad from Telangana state. 'No one will get benefitted from the development in Hyderabad if it is declared as UT', he concludes. While sharing his thoughts on a TV debate, Madhu Yashki made these interesting comments in a softer tone unlike his natural blasting way.
On the flip side Seemandhra MLAs like Sailajanath made it clear that they are not going to accept anything short of Samaikyandhra, even if it is Hyderabad as UT.
