Even though he issued a no-objection letter for the film 'Nenu Nene Ramune', RGV has reportedly refused to watch the film.
Besides his directorial achievements, the biopic touches upon his alleged closeness to actresses Urmila, Nisha Kothari and even Sridevi.
“We have also taken the names of Nagarjuna, who gave RGV a break, and his old friend Lagadapati Raja-gopal among others,” says debutant director Ratna Chary, who cast Sai Venkat, son of politician Srisailam Yadav, to play the director.
“I met RGV thrice to brief him about the content. I had also informed him that it would showcase his positive and negative side and he was sportive enough,” says the director.
Chary, however, declines rumours that RGV refused to watch the film. “He is busy with work, so he couldn’t spare time, but I have shown it to his uncle Subbarajugaru, he was supportive and also suggested a few corrections that we incorporated,” says Chary.
“It will stand out since RGV is a brand and has his own following,” he says, adding, “It’s a kind of tribute to his glorious two-decade-old career.”
