The next time you’re online surfing and a pop-up screen with the name and pictures of your favourite celebrity appears before you, proceed with caution. For all you know, it’s just a front for harmful viruses and malware to crawl into your computer. With the growing power of the internet there is also an increase in the number of viruses being spread in the names of entertainment celebrities across the world.
In India especially, there’s no faster way to make a deadly virus go round than by attaching it to the names of our popular film stars, some of who are worshipped as demi gods and goddesses. Closer home, Telugu film stars are increasingly becoming the most ‘dangerous’ celebs searched on the internet. Superstar Mahesh Babu tops the Tollywood list with 43 infected sites on his name. Not far behind is Toophan star Ram Charan with over 42 infected sites online. The list continues with Pawan Kalyan (40), Actress Anjali (39), Illeana D’cruz (36), Jr NTR (35) and Allu Arjun (34).
Globally, actress Lily Collins has been declared as the most dangerous celebrity to be searched online, followed by Avril Lavigne, Sandra Bullock etc.
