Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan has set a new record at Tamil Nadu Box Office. The Powerstar's latest movie Attarintiki Daredi has got a flying start in the state and the movie has registered a massive opening despite facing competition from local movies. Attarintiki Daredi was released in above 40 screens in Tamil Nadu.
The movie got the widest release for any Telugu movie in the recent history. And it clearly shows what the Powerstar of Telugu cinema is capable of, claims a trader. Traders say that Attarintiki Daredi has broken all the existing records of Telugu movies in Tamil Nadu. On the release day, the Tollywood flick made Rs 1.08 crore, which is the best for any Telugu film till date in state.
The distributor's share is Rs 40.5 lakhs. There were shortage of tickets and many fans of Pawan Kalyan were disappointed for the same. A fan, named Prashanth Raj, who was unhappy at a leading cinema hall, said, "I wanted to watch Attarintiki Daredi on the opening day. But I did not get the ticket. Hopefully, I would get it soon."
Despite getting mixed reviews, Pawan Kalyan starrer Attarintiki Daredi managed to pull the audience to the theatres.
