Among the star directors of Tollywood the name of Puri Jagannadh stands tall but in the recent past he seems to have downgraded himself by agreeing to work with smaller heroes.
Apparently, Puri has got projects lined up with Nithiin and Manchu Vishnu. He gave another jolt by stating he wants to work with R Narayanamurthy.
This got many wondering as to why Puri is dipping like this. Though Puri and Ravi Teja’s combination has proven to be lucky their film ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ turned out to be a flop and some are saying this was the start for Puri’s downfall and his agreeing to work with smaller heroes.
Further analysis reveal that Puri writing on his own, being surrounded by some ‘Bhajana’ batch writers, spending time in Bangkok and focusing more on fun, routine lyrical contribution from Bhaskarabhatla are killing the creative instinct in him.
Let us hope Puri comes out of this rut and proves his mettle like before.
