Directors Can't Lure Without Buttering Heroes?

The film industry has always believed in one rule that the hero is the king and it is a star dominated industry. Though it was just a perception till sometime, now that has become a hard truth. And the same culture seems to have taken strong roots even in Tollywood.

For instance, one can recall how director Harish Shankar was praising Pawan Kalyan to the sky during ‘Gabbar Singh’ time and then did the same with Jr NTR during ‘Ramayya Vastavayya’ time. He used to do a lot of trumpet blowing of these heroes in twitter. Now it looks like even Sreenu Vaitla is doing the same with Mahesh.

He has begun shooting for ‘Aagadu’ and right on the first day, he has begun sharing his thoughts on Twitter lifting Mahesh to the sky. Some of the cine seniors say unless the heroes are not praised, the fans will not connect to the film and the director. Because, it has become a star driven industry and director doesn’t really have that presence so they have to do this Bhajana. Sad but true!
