According to industry sources, the much-hyped T-town film '1' One is loosely inspired by Hollywood action spy thriller 'The Bourne Identity' (which itself is an adaptation of Robert Ludlum's novel of same name) and superstar Mahesh Babu is reportedly reprising the challenging role of Matt Damon who breathed life into the the role of Jason Bourne, who suffers from extreme memory loss.
Its a tale of a spy who begins to discover his true identity, amidst clandestine conspiracy against him from the higher-ups.
As the original was shot in Italy, our hero would be discovered unconscious in London with few gun shots and manages to survive and begins to discover his past in bits and pieces in this nail-biting thriller. Director Sukumar has added a family drama and love angle, to this spy thriller, to make it a full fledged entertainer.
Actually, this role was done by two stars before- Kamal Hassan and Balakrisha, but only the former could spin box office magic with his film 'Vetrivilla', while the later's attempt to reprise Matta Damon in 'Vijayendravarma' failed to click. Will Mahesh pull it off since more than 60-crores are pumped into the magnum opus.
