The newest twist in the "Pawan Kalyan's third wedding saga" comes in the form of a marriage certificate that scotches certain rumours and kicks up new ones. The fans are in a tizzy as the bride Anna Lezhneva is reported to be an Australian, and did act in Teenmaar but the photograph of the bride had the media, Tollywood and Pawan fans scratching their heads. Never before did a "marriage certificate" raise the kind of hullaballoo than that of Pawan Kalyan's wedding with Anna Lezhneva over the last couple of days. The government certified document sealed the suspense surrounding Power Star's marital status (and the true identity of the actor's wife).
However, the curiosity surrounding the wedding doesn't seem to have diminished one bit. There are still many questions that people are trying to find answers for — how the news became public a good three months after the registration? Are Pawan's detractors behind the leak? Who is Anna Lezhneva? Is she an Australian or Russian? Why is Pawan Kalyan still keeping mum? Will there be an official confirmation?...and the works.
The curious case of a selfie It was in the last week of August that a "selfie" of Pawan Kalyan and Anna first surfaced on a photo sharing site. A user profile named Anyuth posted the picture along with a message, (see picture above) which translates as "See and do not say you have not seen! My precious husband without a mustache! :-) I'm still scared". The account of Anyuth was deleted within hours leaving unanswered questions.
Why now? M Z Basith Siddiqui, the registrar who officiated the wedding says, "Pawan Kalyan and Anna Lezhneva had come in person to file their marriage application on August 30th, one month before the wedding was performed on September 30. The wedding was performed under the Special Marriage Act after receiving no objections from anyone for one whole month that the wedding application was stuck on the notice board (at the Erragadda Sub Registrar Office)." Yet surprisingly enough, the news went completely unnoticed for almost three months before appearing around Christmas.
Who is behind it all? While some believe that the information was leaked by political adversaries of Pawan's brother Chiranjeevi, another theory has it that the same people who leaked the pirated version of Attarintiki Daredi are behind it. There are others who reckon that the news was leaked by Pawan Kalyan himself to end the controversy over his wife's true identity.
The invisible wife While the Registrar confirmed that Anna is an Australian citizen, nothing much is known about her besides the speculation that she has a child with Pawan, with whom she has been living in for over the last couple of years. The name and the social media message suggest that she is of Russian origin. It is believed she was an extra in Teenmaar, where she met Pawan.
Why is Pawan silent? What is most surprising is that Pawan Kalyan hasn't uttered a word on the issue all this while, even when another woman's name was doing the rounds for the last year and a half. Why Pawan? It's over to you now.
