I didn't kill anyone: Jwala Gutta

Responding on the Delhi High Court's judgement allowing her to play international matches, Badminton sensation Jwala Gutta thanked everyone who supported her in the need of the hour and also came down heavily on the Badminton Association of India (BAI) for making her a scapegoat. "I was shocked when I came to know about the life ban imposed against me. Why such a harsh action? I did not dope, I did no match-fixing, I didn't kill anybody," she asserted.

Jwala made it clear she loves to play for the country and no one could stop her from playing. She blamed National chief coach Pullela Gopichand and BAI President for taking a harsh decision and not even informing her before addressing the issue before the media.

Earlier, BAI has imposed a life-ban against Jwala Gutta for allegedly stopping the match between 'Delhi Smashers' and 'Banga Beats' in the first season of India Badminton League. In response, Jwala approached the Delhi High Court and got the much needed relief.
