Wonder why actress Renu Desai decided to produce a Marathi film? That's because she wanted to do it her way. "Being Pawan Kalyan's wife it would have been very easy for me to produce a Telugu film. But I wanted to do it on my own terms. Right from chosing the script to execution of the project I did everything myself. Also I grew up in Pune so I have an emotional connect with the city and I grew up watching Marathi films," says the actress turned producer.
The actress though credits estranged husband,Pawan Kalyan for helping her pick up the nuances of the trade. "Thanks to being married to Pawan Kalyan, I got to be a part of several film productions for over a decade. I developed a working knowledge of film production. I drew upon that experience while working on Mangalashtak Once More," adds Renu.
