Karthi, Hansika, Premgi, Mandy Takhar and Ramki starred Biriyani, A Venkat Prabhu Diet has released world wide with positive WOM.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Biriyani is a youthful romantic thriller that had huge openings in Tamil and Telugu with 1000+ screens worldwide and 50+ screens only in Bangalore multiplexes.

Trade mark 100th musical of Yuvan Shankar Raja, Biriyani audio was a huge hit, but the background is not so special. Theme music and Bay of Bengal tracks are good and nicely shot.

Karthi is back to his winning streak with Venkat Prabhu's diet Biriyani, after three consecutive flops Saguni, Alex Pandian and All in All Azhaguraja. Karthi's playboy scene and chickmeter scene with bombastic theme are fun on screen.Hansika looks glamorous in Biriyani and first 50 mins is passable. Overall Biriyani is a good entertainer with 149 mins running time though it is not perfectly made.
