The genre in which a director is dealing a subject of his film decides the duration or length of negative to be incorporated into the final copy. Director Sukumar very well knows that, he is handling with action-thriller genre in ‘1 nenokkadine’ starring Mahesh Babu and Kriti Sanon. Of course, it’s a brave adventure to direct a star hero like Mahesh in this new found genre. Yet he has the capabilities and producers relied on the content.
Now, the movie has come ready for release and it’s on the editing table, new problems are gossiped to have sprouted up. If the film is curtailed by huge portions to get a crisp copy with a pure thriller flavor, run time of ‘Nenokkadine’ is observed to have got fixed for something less than 130 minutes.
By any Telugu film standards, this is small and inclusive of Mahesh Babu Fans, everyone would be left shocked. Where to add the humor and where to add the seriousness, how to carry on the narration without a dip in emotions…all these play a pivotal role in making the final decision on run time. Hope that, editor will do his best to please Mahesh Babu Fans.
