Over the years, having songs and dance has become mandatory for Telugu cinema. Little wonder that a film without them will not be treated as a Telugu film. It seems that this criterion has taken a toll with Sukumar’s 1-Nenokkadine.
Of course, the run time or duration of the film was another factor. Further, to control the damage, the makers of the Mahesh Babu starrer have already trimmed 20 minutes of the film. Though the film got mixed response, majority of the people are raving about the technicalities and the standards Sukumar has set with this film.
Sources inform that the makers of 1-Nenokkadine are toying with the idea of sending the film to a couple of International and National film festivals.
As movie’s run time is also one of the constraints at such festivals, they are planning to remove all the songs to make the length much shorter, confides a source. It remains to be seen whether the makers will take a call to trim the songs in the theater version too.
