Prabhas' Baahubali story fictitious: Rajamouli

Ever since Rajamouli named his film Baahubali, it has generated a lot of curiosity among film buffs. Fans who appreciated Baahubali's Eega are particularly keen to know if the story has anything to do with the Jain saint Gomateshwara also called Baahubali.

However, the director had refuted these claims in an interview to an English daily. SS had said: "This is not the story of Babubali of Gomateshwara. My story is completely set in a fictitious period with fictitious characters. The name of my protagonist happens to be Baaahubali, that's all."

However, the title seems to have angered people from the sect. Let's hope the maverick film-maker issues a clarification. Baahubali stars Prabhas, Anushka, Rana, Ramya Krishna and Tamannaah in key roles.
