Erica Fernandes has been wanting to act since she was a toddler. With no filmy background whatsoever, this new entrant in the film industry has bagged five films in all of one year, three of which are Tamil, one Telugu, one Hindi and one Kannada.
Talking about her love for showbiz, she says, “I don’t know when and how the fascination for glitz and glamour seeped into me, but it has been my aim ever since I can remember.”
The model turned actress is busy shooting for the Kannada film 'Ninnindale' in Hyd-erabad. Directed by Telugu director Jayanth Paranji, Erica stars as the lead actress of the film.
“In 'Ninnindale', which is with Puneeth Raj-kumar, my character is a girl who is originally from Bengaluru but is settled in New York with her folks. She is extremely soft spoken and is very traditional,” says Erica.
Having shot for a Tamil-Telugu bilingual film, Erica’s tryst with T-town started when she was auditioning for Tamil movies and was approached by Tulsi Kumar for the movie 'Dega'.
Still under production, Erica says she is eagerly waiting the film’s release. 'Dega' sees her playing the lead in the suspense thriller. Erica’s Hindi film, 'Love is Not Mathematics' which is five separate stories interwoven together will also release this year.
