Ananth Menon, the Galeej Gurus guitarist, will be performing at  an event which gives an opportunity to Bengaluru musicians to come together and create experimental music.

“It is divided into two sets and I will be collaborating with electronic musician Faheem ul Hassan. He will perform electronic music while I fuse blues with electronica,” says Ananth. Ananth will be performing Set Me Free a blues influenced composition by him.

“When I was learning to play the guitar, I heard Eric Clapton Unplugged on MTV. I am a massive Porcupine Tree fan and have seen them perform live at IIT Mumbai,” says Ananth about his greatest influences.

Ananth’s musical prowess has been greatly influenced by his college days. “I will be grateful to Christ College because Galeej Gurus was formed there. The college authorities didn’t compromise with the attendance but they allowed us to do our music. That was a huge encouragement,” he says.

Ananth has also collaborated with musicians like Arjun Chandran, Vineet Vincent and Vedant Bharadwaj from Chennai to produce experimental music.
